28 SPMT Extra Strong TII Scheuerle axles are the largest delivery of Zeppelin Polska (authorized distributor) in Poland. The set is complemented by two PPU Z390 drive units. The whole thing will be parked in Opole at the beginning of August this year.
– The purchase is dictated by the desire to further develop and offer customers services at the highest technological level. The demand for transporting very heavy loads is growing, says Wiesław Bednarz, president of Bedmet. – Expert support from TII SCHEUERLE was also important in the selection of the supplier – adds Bednarz.
Thanks to this purchase, Bedmet will significantly strengthen its position on the oversize transport services market in Poland and Europe. – After the delivery of this set, we will have a total of 106 SPMT self-propelled axles – says Paweł Bednarz, heavy transport & project manager at Bedmet.
The set we chose includes modules in 4- and 6-axis variants. They provide a load capacity of up to 48,000 kg per axle line, which translates into a maximum payload of 175,700 kg and 264,500 kg, respectively. Reinforced structure, suspension cylinders with a diameter of 140 mm, drum brakes (60 kN), as well as side lamps and 24V LED lighting in a version adapted to European requirements are just some of the solutions guaranteeing the highest level of safety and efficiency of operations.
The drive units are the PPU Z390 with a 390 kW Daimler 6R1300 engine (EU Stage V/Tier4f), ensuring high efficiency while reducing exhaust emissions. Also noteworthy are their supporting functions, such as the radio/cable remote control system (2.4 GHz) or the SALSA software, which enables the configuration of the set and analysis of the load distribution.
