BedMet was registered on September 24, 1996. Only three drivers were employed then, and the company’s owner was in charge of the office work. – We had almost no experience. We began with a broken Nysa, through Star 28, and this way we went slowly forward. Some time later Renault Major trucks appeared. In 2001 Bedmet bought a plot at Oświęcimska Street. It is worth to say that the area was heavily destroyed during the flood in Opole in 1997. That is the place where an office and social building was constructed, including hardened parking area and the first Bedmet workshop. Following years are the constant, dynamic development of the company. Bedmet employs another drivers and purchases another vehicles. More office workers also increased including own accounting. – Year 2003 was an investment breakthrough, I think. We moved to a new headquarters. Each year we had more and more sets and drivers – estimates Małgorzata Wójcik, a Bedmet accountant since 2002.

Now, there are 50 drivers employed in Bedmet, 35 sets of tractor units and 55 tiffbett or kesselbruck semi-trailers owned. There have also 15 own pilots, among which 8 are BF3 validated. The are more than 100 employees altogether, implementing the transportation services in 35 countries without 4 thousand freights annually. The range of Bedmet operating includes: road transportation, inland waterway transportation, railway transportation, sea transportation, transshipment and storing, as well as relocations.

Next few years of another experiences make the Bedmet management plan the ways of the company development. To achieve that goal, in 2008, basing on former Bedmet, a limited partnership called Bedmet Logistic came into being. – We were under pressure of needs of our customers to follow a permanent progress – admits Wiesław Bednarz. Only in 2011 the company ordered new MAN tractor units and specialized Faymonville and Goldhoffer semi-trailers.
